Disorders We Treat

Seizures & Epilepsy

Dr Moore completed one additional year of fellowship training in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology.  He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of seizures.

Memory Disorders

Dementia is a common cause of morbidity and mortality around the world.  Epidemiologic studies have revealed that the incidence of dementia double every 10 years after the age of 60.  Dr Moore uses advance digital cognitive testing that can be completed at home to screen for memory impairment.  He is also well verse in this field and can present different treatment options.

Traumatic Brain Injury

There are a large number of symptoms that can be associated with concussion and TBI.  Dr Moore takes time with his patients to screen for these possible symptoms so that a treatment plan for each symptom can be developed.

Headaches

There are a number of different types of headache, such as, migraine, tension, sinus, cluster, and other more rare headache types.  It is important to know which type of headache you have, so it can be treated appropriately. For example, tension headache are actually more prevalent than migraines.  However if a patient is given migraine medication for a tension headache, it usually doesn't help.

Spinal & Nerve Injury

Localization is the mainstay of neurologic diagnosis.  Dr Moore has extensive training in both injury to the spinal cord and the peripheral nerves themselves.  It is important to localize which part of the nervous system is injury so that appropriate steps can be taken to alleviate pain or dysfunction.

Stroke

Someone who has had a stroke has a significantly higher risk of having a second stroke, then someone without a history of stroke.  It is therefore very important to understand why a stroke happened, that way a second stroke may be prevented in the future.  It is also important to understand the risk factors you may that way they can each be addressed to decrease your overall risk of stroke.
